At Little Latham Farmers Nursery & Forest School, we provide a caring and inspiring environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them. Through engaging activities, outdoor learning, and meaningful early years experiences, we help children develop confidence, creativity, independence, and essential life skills.

Supporting Development Through The EYFS Framework

At Little Latham Farmers, we create a wide variety of engaging daily experiences that encourage children to learn, explore, and grow through outdoor play, creativity, and hands-on learning within the natural environment.

Our activities are carefully planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, supporting children from birth to five years across seven key areas of learning and development. Through meaningful experiences, exploration, and play-based learning, we help children build confidence, curiosity, independence, and essential early years skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

Mud Kitchen

Encouraging imaginative play, creativity, communication, and sensory exploration through hands-on outdoor experiences.

Vegetable Patch

Children are encouraged to plant, grow, and care for organic produce while learning about responsibility, nature, and healthy eating.

Art Cabin

Our dedicated log cabin provides a creative space for messy play, arts and crafts, sensory activities, and imaginative learning experiences.

Animals

Children have opportunities to learn about and interact with animals, helping to encourage curiosity, empathy, and confidence through outdoor experiences.

Woodland & Stream Exploration

Exploring woodland areas and natural surroundings encourages discovery, confidence, problem-solving, and a connection with the outdoors.

Using natural materials and loose parts encourages creativity, independent learning, exploration, and imaginative outdoor play.

My 19 month old daughter attends and really loves it. The activities the children do are varied and you can tell a lot of thought goes into the planning. The focus on getting outside whenever possible is fantastic and Eliza loves it. The staff are excellent and engage really well with parents as well as the children.
